POCKET CLUTTER MINIMIZER
2017

The goal of this project was to create a slim wallet that could hold the most commonly used every day items.
The project was featured and successfully funded during a 30 day campaign on Kickstarter in June of 2017.

THE SOLUTION

In addition to decluttering your everyday carried items, the MKC Wallet also provides other benefits and uses. When using your key to unlock/lock a door, the wallet provides a more comfortable connection to the key. Additional, other separately sold items such as a USB key and bottle opener add extra benefits to your everyday carry!

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

All materials were locally sources from leather/material shops in the Fashion District of Toronto. Due to tiny size of the company and the limited funding available, I had to design this product with a budget of $1500. All hardware was ordered directly from a small bag/purse factory in Zhangjiang, China.

For the Kickstarter fulfilled product, the wallet was shipped disassembled to reduce labor costs. The customer was supplied with a heavy gauge needle, waxed thread, the two laser cut wallet halves, and the two flat headed bolts used to secure the keys/accessories.

For the current wallet that is being sold, a manufacturer was found in Mooresville, North Carolina. Due to the larger MOQs, the retail price of the wallet was able to maintain a similar price.
